Spherical-plain bearings maintenance free

These spherical plain bearings are standardised, ready-to-install machine elements used for the transfer of static and dynamic forces in connection with swivelling, tilting and turning movements.

DURBAL offers two lines of maintenance free spherical plain bearings (Classic or Basic Line).

  • DURBAL Classic Line heavy-duty spherical plain bearings in accordance with DIN ISO 12240-1 consist of an outer ring with an injected bearing race and joint ball. The heavy-duty spherical plain bearings of the DURBAL Classic Line are maintenance-free. The spherical plain bearings are available in the series K, E and G.
The maintenance-free DURBAL spherical plain bearings of these series are primarily used in situations where swivelling movements are small and speeds are low. These spherical plain bearings can handle very high loads and are also suited for use with impact loads. The hard-chrome plated or stainless steel joint ball glides on a special glass fibre reinforced plastic sliding bearing race – DURBAL-Glide –, which among other things is made of PTFE to minimize friction. The design ensures that they are absolutely maintenance free and also practically free of clearance. The compound used has the favourable secondary advantage to absorb any foreign particles and to enclose them that no damage may occur. We also offer the maintenance-free spherical plain bearings series K and E in stainless steel.

  • The comprehensive range from our DURBAL Basic Line spherical plain bearings in accordance with DIN ISO 12240-1, -2, -3 are available in series K, E, G and C. These spherical plain bearings are maintenance-free. They are lined with bronze - PTFE - composite or bonded with PTFE - fabric. These products are distinguished by high precision and dependability as well as by an outstanding cost-benefit ratio.
